Wake Robin Retirement CommunityWake Robin is a continuing care retirement community located on 135 acres overlooking Lake Champlain. This project adds 37 independent-living cottages to the present community, as well as 18 skilled nursing beds for Long-term Care. Adjoining the new Long-term Care Wing, a garden has been specially designed for the enjoyment of residents with memory loss. The Community Center has also been improved with the expansion of the café, woodworking shop, and art studio. The project addresses significant ongoing problems with the mechanical and plumbing systems in the food service facilities. Green design principals have been followed in all of the new construction areas, and the cottages are 5-star Energy Efficient Homes. |
